More Information

Situated in Northern Thailand are several remaining hill tribes. They live their life based on subsistence farming and rearing their own live stock. Life is basic and hard for the tribes people and the money from your experience goes directly to the villagers to support their education, facilities and well being.

You will trek for approximately 3-5 hours each day. There are short cuts you can take if it is too much. At certain times of the year it is very hot and can be exhausting. However it is more than worth it. You will spend time in two traditional hill tribe villages, mix with the locals, eat some amazing food and take part in a traditional Lahu tribe dance.

You will be reminded just how simple life can be and yet the tribes folk are incredibly happy individuals working in harmony with the local environment.

Any number of things can result in amendments to the itinerary, although these are few and far between, so we reserve the right to alter the itinerary without notice..

Testimonials

  • This is as real as it gets. No electricity, the shower is a bucket, the food was superb and one one occasion we ate what we collected from the forest and fields during the day cooked in a banana leaf. Would do it again. Susanna G

  • The guide gave me a machete to start with!! I was puzzled until later when I made my own cooking equipment, pots, plates and cutlery from bamboo!!! I then cooked the food on an open fire over looking the valley. Awesome Oliver W
